Peppers
Pepperfest : Damascus Township. PA – October 2025
The Damascus Manor Community Center put on a PepperFest in October of last year,
which they called “The Pepperfest”. There were some diagrams, some samples of foods made with peppers and some display tables, opportunities to taste chopped and prepared peppers of various types. There was chili available, and some vendors, including one that had some kind of bread with peppers. The summer is not particulrly hot here, so it’s not a great place to grow peppers outside, compared with, South Carolina, for instance. I lean toward tomatoes and string beans when I do garden, which is most summers these days. I made my rounds at the Pepperfest and took a few pics. Hoping they do one again next October, or whenever.
